Lincoln & York is a leading coffee sourcing, roasting, and packing company based in the UK. With a strong reputation in the industry, they sought to enhance their internal workspace to better reflect their brand and accommodate their growing team.

They discovered Nolan Interiors through a Google search, while searching for a partner who could transform the upstairs working area, including the boardroom, sales office, and accounts office – which was underutilised and featured an outdated interior.

the challenge

The upstairs floor at Lincoln & York was divided into several disconnected areas that didn’t make the best use of available space. Outdated finishes and furniture meant the environment didn’t match the energy or ambition of the company.

Lincoln & York wanted to transform the space into a more functional, modern environment that would leave a positive impression on visitors and support their evolving operational needs.

The brief was to redesign the layout to improve functionality, enhance collaboration, and create a professional, modern aesthetic that represented the brand’s values.

the solution

Nolan Interiors developed a comprehensive design proposal featuring 2D floor plans and 3D visuals to clearly communicate the transformation. The solution included:

Removal of internal walls to open up the space
Installation of glass panels to enhance light and transparency
Updated flooring and full redecoration
Introduction of new office furniture tailored to each department’s needs

This redesign enabled Lincoln & York to relocate the finance team to a more suitable area, reorganise the sales team for current and future growth and create a boardroom space they can be proud of.

The project was completed over approximately 3 weeks, with close collaboration between Nolan Interiors and Lincoln & York to ensure minimal disruption and clear communication throughout.

The renovated space now offers a modern, functional, and welcoming environment that aligns with Lincoln & York’s brand and operational goals.
